Auditions

Auditions are officially closed for the 2026 fall season.
Spaces will open up again in the summer of 2027.

Details:

• Auditions are led by Artistic Director, Bradley Ellingboe, and consist of an optional prepared solo, vocal exercises to determine tone, timbre, range, and aural skills, and a short sight-reading exercise.
• Note that preparing a solo for your audition is encouraged but not required.
• No accompanist is needed.
• ABQ Coro Lux has two groups: the large ensemble, Coro Lux (60 members), and Luminare (20 members). Each group has its own set of concerts. Members of Luminare must also sing in Coro Lux.
• Weekly rehearsals take place Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm in the fellowship hall at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The first rehearsal of the season is on September 1st.
• Membership in the choir is free, but there is a charge each semester for sheet music. We have a generous scholarship program. If you are chosen for Coro Lux and cannot afford sheet music, simply let us know.
