Dr. José Daniel Flores-Caraballo leads Oceana, by Chilean composer Javier Farías. This contemporary work for choir, viola, and guitar sets poetry by Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Evoking the vastness and beauty of the sea, the piece draws on Neruda’s language to create a richly textured, atmospheric sound world.
